Sir William Walton, O.M.




Picture title: Sir William Walton - the music of his mountains in the background.
Painted in Ischia, Italy 1979. Oil on canvas. Size: 39-3/4" x 31-1/2" (100cm x 80cm).
Exhibited and sold at the Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition, London 1986.
The artist was introduced to Sir William and Lady Walton in 1979 by Bolivar,
the famous artist of Ischia, whose portraits come later in this gallery.

Note: This photograph of the painting has lost much of the fine detail and colour subtlety.
