Painting in possession of the administration of the island of Ischia.
Oil on canvas. Size: 23-5/8" x 27-1/2" (60cm x 70cm)
Note: This photograph of the painting has lost much of the fine detail and colour subtlety.

First Prize. The artist with the winning entry. The competition, entitled "The Feeling of Ischia,"
was for artists to produce a painting in one day, between the hours of 8.0am and 5.0pm.
The procedure was that the canvas, paper or other material that the artist was to use, should
be taken to the designated location in the town and stamped at 8.0am. The finished work with
the stamp had to be taken and deposited at the same location at 5.0pm the same day. Judging
took place the following day by delegates of the local town, and prize-giving three days later.
