Sweet innocence at the castle

Note: My original objective for this scene was to paint it on a large canvas, which was physically
impossible owing to the castle being situated high upon the rock via a long winding enclosed path.
Therefore I used this painting as the basis for the larger canvas "Tranquillity, picnic at the castle," painted
during the winter period in my loaned villa, with the girls coming to sit for me over several days.
Further note: The photograph of the painting is a little out of focus with loss of fine detail.
