Note: The inspiration for
this painting, as with all of the Sun themes I have done, was the
purity and power of the morning Sun.
The colour negative of the painting was very thin, processed by an
unprofessional and reckless photographic laboratory in Ischia as
previously mentioned in these pages, resulted in great difficulty to
bring the digital image back to life from memory of
the painting, without falsifying the image. Nevertheless, much of the
sharpness has been lost. You can vaguely detect the sea horizon,
indicated more specifically with the Sun's reflection on the water. |
