Third eye. Fourth
dimension

Picture title: Third eye. Fourth
dimension. 1969.
Oil on canvas. Size: 27-1/2" x 35-1/2" (70cm x 90cm).
Sold
Note: The photo of the painting has lost much of the fine
detail and colour subtlety,
in particular the depth of colour and the petals radiating from the
central iris to the corners.
The objective of the painting was for the viewer to focus upon the central
iris and enter into
the picture. This painting was completed around the time when I had a
penthouse apartment at 99, Piccadilly, London, overlooking Green Park. See
below. I took over the flat from a woman claiming to be a duchess,
who had to downsize to Kensington. They were the days! |

The
red arrow at the top indicates my attic flat, more commonly called a
penthouse. The arch on the left on the ground
floor is 100, Piccadilly, which used to be the Public Schools
Club, owners of the entire property. |

This
was the view opposite 99, Piccadilly. The location is
amongst the finest in London with views of
Green Park.
