Festival of Colour
Acrylic -
12 x 18 inches
£55.00 mounted, unframed, excluding delivery.
The inspiration for this colourful piece was taken from a close up
view of a floral display.
The media used being acrylic inks on
watercolour paper. I am currently doing a series
of these abstracts
using a new technique.

Autumn Glory
Acrylic - 15 x 13 inches
£150.00 mounted, unframed, excluding delivery.
This view worked from a low vantage point
showing the autumn colours against an azure
sky; a breathtaking
vision at Leith Hill, Sussex; from which this was painted. The
acrylic
impressionistic technique used here is the same as for
'Falling Leaves' below.

Falling Leaves
Acrylic - 20 x 23 inches
£150.00 mounted, unframed, excluding delivery.
Autumnal splendour seen from a birds eye view; involving an
unconventional technique of applied acrylic inks on water saturated
paper and salt. This lends the painting a brilliant lively effect.

Wild Flowers
Acrylic -
18 x 12 inches
Sold
I painted many scenes of this beautiful captivating meadow near to our
home in Spain.
Sadly it no longer exists due to land development. This
particular acrylic knife painting was
a commission. I am showing it
here as many people have expressed their interest in it. The
image has
lost a little in translation; the colours are stronger and the detail
sharper in reality.

Palm Trees
Acrylic -
12 x 16 inches
£100.00 unframed, excluding delivery.
This lovely scene was painted from a photograph. I imagine walking this
path with the
palm trees rustling in a faint breeze with the boats moored
in the distance as it reminds
me of our Spanish adventure when living
there. Palm trees are magnificent specimens but
difficult to paint well. I
have gone for a looser style of painting in this piece, keeping the
scene simple but the trees are the real focus.

Waterfall
Acrylic
-
12 x 8 inches
£130.00 inclusive of frame,
excluding delivery.
This is a beautiful painting in acrylics depicting a sparkling
waterfall
cascading over rocks into a shimmering pool with some plant life in the
picture frame. The painting is mounted in a lovely limed wood frame.

A Field of Poppies
Acrylic - 22 x 30 inches
Sold
Glorious poppy fields are an amazingly beautiful scene that is
sadly rather short lived. I took many photos of the fields in
Hertfordshire last summer, which I used, plus memory, to paint this
landscape. My intention was to capture the fragile and
delicate flower without going for too much detail and
have emphasised
the play of light at the top of the painting to give the piece variety
of tone.

This colourful and vibrant
portrait of David is painted in the Fauvist style which
depicts the
mood and personality of the sitter. The fauvist movement has had
immense influence on art in the 21st century.

The Green Vase
Acrylic - 21 x 17 inches
£150.00 Mounted, including frame, excluding delivery.
Marguerite's are my favourite daisy flower and these were set in a
lovely Wedgwood jug to show them off to advantage. This is an acrylic
knife painting on primed paper.

Woodland with Bluebells
Acrylic inks 12 x 11 inches
£90.00 Mounted, unframed, excluding delivery.
Painted in acrylic inks using a semi abstract technique.
|

Woodland
Acrylic on board 350cm x 450cm
£150.00 Framed in a light wood finish.
This woodland scene is painted in acrylics with some knife techniques;
it evokes a tranquil almost tangible spooky stillness and the mixture
of blues I used intensify feelings of depth.

Rapeseed Field with Barn
Acrylic on board 290cm x 380cm
£80.00 Unframed.
I painted this little piece just recently. A scene that stole my heart
immediately I saw it
driving towards a village near my home. The brilliant yellow field
contrasting with the
blossom and pink roofed Sussex barn, was so stunning that I risked life
and limb taking
photos, having walked back along a busy narrow bridge in the rush
hour to capture
some images for this work. I loved painting it and plan to do
another similar very soon.

Madeira Coastline
Acrylic on board 580cm x 420cm
£200 Unframed.
Painted as a semi abstract from my visit to Madeira at Christmas 2006.
I was taken
with the translucence of the sea contrasting with the rugged rocks and
flora . .
from where I stood looking down must have been at least 800 metre
drop.
